As a Windows Server Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and operating Windows server environments for both national and international clients, some of which are subject to GxP regulations. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the seamless performance and support of Microsoft Windows Server farms and MS SQL database servers, including database and instance operations.
You will provide general application support across Windows Server infrastructures and contribute to the evolution of the company’s automation strategy. This includes executing release and version upgrades for Windows operating systems, conducting error analysis and troubleshooting, and maintaining comprehensive system documentation and a growing knowledge base.
A key part of your role will be to continuously enhance system and application monitoring using industry-leading tools such as ManageNow4DCM. You will also participate in shift work and on-call duties to ensure round-the-clock reliability.

• Administration and operation of Windows server systems for national and international clients with partial GxP regulation
• Ensuring smooth operation and support of:
  1. Microsoft Windows Server farms
  2. MS SQL database servers
     • Database and instance operation
• General customer application support on Windows Server farms
• Participation in the further development of the company´s automation strategy
• Execution of release and version upgrades (Windows operating systems)
• Execution of release and version upgrades (Microsoft SQL Databases)
• Error analysis and troubleshooting
• Maintenance of system documentation and expansion of a knowledge database
• Continuous improvement of system and application monitoring using market-leading software (e.g., ManageNow4DCM)
• Participation in shift work and on-call duty

• Several years of professional experience in administering Windows server systems
• Good knowledge in administering MS SQL database servers
• Experience in automation
• Knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell and/or another scripting language
• Basic knowledge in enterprise networking
• Strong team and communication skills
• Independent, structured, and goal-oriented working style
• Good English skills in spoken and written form (B2)

Certifications (required or advantageous):

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
   (AZ-800 und AZ-801 – advantageous)
• Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator
   (z. B. DP-300 – advantageous)
• ITIL Foundation (advantageous)
