This job combines classic Commvault Backup administration with modern automation and integration tasks within complex IT enterprise environments. The focus is on the development, management, and optimization of automated Backup processes, the creation of Commvault-integrated workflows, as well as the technical integration of backup and IT service management systems through Ansible-based automation solutions. You work closely with infrastructure, Platform, Cloud, Security, and Orchestration teams and actively drive the further development of a highly automated backup and recovery landscape.
You are regularly working 8x5 to cover inside office hours. From time to time you are participating on Incident on-call Service. You are flexible in planning your tasks but keeping Process- and Technical Service Levels in the same way. You work self-responsible and proactive on your tasks. You make an important contribution to our customers with delivering high-quality and comprehensive Backup DevOps Services quickly and efficiently.

IT education and Data Center Infrastructure Experience. You have a degree in computer science/business informatics or a comparable qualification. You are experienced in operating, automating and optimizing Backup environments and configurations for different Backup workloads. You know what is important in an IT Service Life cycle.

Customer focus. You are keen to understand the Customer needs and transform requirements into solutions. In the end you identify and implement Win/Win Solutions for internal or external Customers.

Advanced Expertise in Backup. You have high expertise in Commvault Backup environments. You have practical experience how to operate and adapt Commvault Backup in Microsoft Azure Cloud context. You can do root cause analysis to identify Backup issues and resolve problems on Backup infrastructure and Backup Client level. Among others you know especially how Backup for SAP HANA, Oracle, VADP works. You know how to install Intellisnap Backup.

Solid Expertise in Operating System, Storage and Cloud technologies. You have a good knowledge in at least one Operating System Linux or Windows. You can check Server and network load for bottlenecks. You have good knowledge in Storage Solutions like Snapshot, Vault, Staging and Mirroring.

Automation and Backup. You have good practical Scripting skills with Windows PowerShell, Linux Bash or Ansible Automation. You know how to create Commvault Workflows. You have knowledge in CI/CD or DevOps environments. You have Certifications in Commvault or Ansible.

Managed Service. You have experience in how to provide End-to-End IT Services to the customer with the help of ITIL practices.

Interpersonal Skills. You have a proactive, team-oriented mindset. With your communication skills, your reliability, and loyality you will help the Team to success.
